Gold reflects gold (£1.99 each).
Gold frames mother Mary
Who looks down, beatifically, lips pursed,
At the baby in her arms,
Who is proportioned like a man.
The icon is flawed,
But what more can we hope for,
When we strive to materialise the immaterial?
Hold this icon up to the candlelight,
And it dances.
It immerses, it mingles,
It radiates what we might call God.
God is good as gold,
For what it’s worth.
Gold reflects gold.

Interesting concept, and I like the imagery. And the idea of what the icon is actually worth...
