The Waves of Withdrawal

EliDagger

I feel like you're slipping away.
Into the silky cold waters of the outside.
Dragged in the current.
Unable to see that the distance is growing more and more each day.
And I'm fighting it, swimming as fast as I can.
But you're out my grasp. Just beyond my icy cold fingers.
No warmth of us to keep me warm.
Your blockade keeps me at arm's length no matter how hard I stroke.
This is the part, I get too tired, drowning in the wave of emotion.
Too hard, too far, too much.
