We worry about the wrong things in today’s society
Makeup
Style
What she is doing on her Saturday nights,
Why he doesn’t’ have a job
Fights.
We worry about skin color
Like it matters if you’re light or dark,
We worry about someone else’s attitude
Like we can’t just walk away and be smart.
We worry about playing the victim
Instead of looking in the mirror,
We worry about who is right
Instead of understanding the other person clearer.
We worry about who is doing what
While we are just sitting in a chair,
We judge everybody how is this fair?
Instead of worrying about others
Instead of wasting our time
Why can’t we stand up as a community and help everybody shine?
People that wear makeup
People who don’t,
Let them know they are beautiful and leave each other alone.
People who enjoy style
People who can live without,
Tell each other you look good and let life flow.
If someone is happy in their own skin
Why put them down
Why can’t everybody win?
You’re white
You’re black
Your skin is just a color.
You’re Skinny
You’re Fat
It doesn’t mean you are better than one another.
God created people
We are all a beautiful site,
Let’s all stand up together
Let’s all stand in the light.
Who cares what everybody does
No more putting people aside,
Be a good person
There is no need to make anyone feel denied.
If you are unhappy
If you are mad,
Talk to someone don’t treat others bad.
If you notice someone is angry
If you notice someone is sad
Be that person to give an extra hand.
We are all people
We all have a purpose,
Be that person to show others they are worth it.
