If I could

dominique ruth

If I had a magic wand,

I wonder who i could become,

Maybe it would be a lot easier,

If I could put myself into a magic spell,

To disguise myself,

What would it be,

A thimble mumbling bubble be,

No that would only make humans kill me,

What If I were a cat,

No that would only make me fat,

What if I were a bat,

No that would only make me useful as a hat,

What If I was a blizzard,

No that would only make my vision blurred,

What if I were a wizard,

No that would only mean i would have to grow a beard,

and that would beat the whole purpose of being magical,

What if I were a lizard,

No that would only make me as sharp as sicssors,

What if I was just myself

That would only be perfect in every way,

Besides thinking of what I would be,

Is hard and being me is easy peasy.

I found this quite comical. Nice little twist at the end.

      Hello Dominique,

      A lovely and enchanting write.

At the end of the day true contentment in life comes with being at peace with ourselves.

      Keep writing FineB
