Princess

Night Owl

Jeweled eyed princess, who has torn your robes and poured poison in your ears?

Was it from dancing too long in the hall of shadows?

What has turned your ruby thoughts into serpents?

Clutching at your own throat each night, tearing at the walls until your tears run red.

When will you remove the twisted veil from your face and leave that dark palace?

A new spring is awaiting your return.

When a loved one is involved, you hurt as well
I too am hurting, for I feel helpless.
