springtime

elmina

When the snow grows rare and the grass brightens green,

Where the dandelions sprout and shine so bright,

The hills trampled with meadows and rabbits to be seen.

And the children cover their eyes from the sun’s strong light.

The skies will roll with pillows and blue,

The concrete is wet from the dancing of rain,

And washing away is the chalk of what children drew.

Along with soddening the sleeping fields of sugarcane.

Ladybugs, birds, rabbits all alike came out to play,

The kids dance so happy with their coats of red,

When the sun will set so beautiful to conclude the day.

And the kids go inside to then rest their head.

They always compare beauty of a person to crime,

But to me, i compare beauty to the springtime.
