Lovely Devil

jayzee015

Deception and lies, but they’re filled with guilt,

dreams of golden cities, and a temple rebuilt.

Kind and caring, so you showed to me,

but the mirror of truth revealed that not to be.

You turned your back on me, just like the rest.

There was never any love, nothing to invest.

My dreams of you are burnt up in flames,

the golden cars, and the golden trains;

the ones that would have taken us far,

so that we could visit the brightest star.

My broken heart, and its will to be healed,

the glue was in your hands, you wielded the seal.

But the lovely glory that was once in your heart,

it drifted away, and we drifted apart.

So long then, I wish you the best.

You’re not going to change, so I won’t hold my breath.

You’re filled with deceit and everlasting lies,

you were a devil in an angelic disguise.
