Mourning a recent loss is hard
Mourning a recently found out loss is hard
Like the grief stages are already done
And the pain you feel is unrelatable
A distant pain awakens
A child I've never had
A grandpa I've never known
The family I could have had
The sadness I didn't get to feel
Is an approaching tsunami
I'm waiting on the floor
For the waves to wash over me
Cleanse me of this expired sadness
