Perspective

Jacob Mead

Some see it through an innocent child-like lens,
others see it through realistic light.
Your hopes and dreams may soar and fly like a kite,
or get caught in the wind just like every little boys' dreams.
No amount of reasoning will give way to meaning in life.
What then, give in to the knife?
Perception is what you make it to be,
you can walk down the street and pose a question that will make you think,
what you make of that question, is how you perceive it.
"There is no meaning to the question," one may say.
"It all lies within the truths and lies that you believe in," another may say.
Truthfully, perception is a beautiful thing, for it allows us to differentiate ourselves among the common man.

What would you be without your opinions?

A question most can't answer very easily,
which goes to show just how important is to hold certain things higher than others.
Sadness, happiness, despair, anger, what is your plan?

One question remains: What would you see in a pool of self-reflection?
No matter the answer, it is all based on your Perception.
