Maybe now that I'm older I could begin to realize it wasn't love
But thinking back to my adolescence,
I can understand that to me it was love at the time
And that you were the first I'd experienced it with
Maybe now that I'm falling in love again I could say that before I hadn't
But thinking back to my feelings for you,
I can understand that to me I'd never felt that way before
And that you were the only one I wanted to feel it with
