Victories over our youth and insecurities

Edthepoet

Happiness, I took it for granted
Lonliness, the price I paid for it
Yes I confess, I never thought we would end
But answer me this,
Does my crime fit my punishment?

Insecure, made up for with empty flings
Wrecking ball, disguised as forgivness
Yes I confess, I wasn't strong enough back then
But answer me this,
Does your heart feel my suffering?

Come on honey, show me how..
To get you back
In my life somehow

Come on baby, how bout now..
Went back to school
Just to make you proud

Come on darling, take this crown..
Of thorns you left
Around my brow

Come on sugar, don't back out..
We were so young
But we're ready now

Can you hear our memories?
Late at night as you try to sleep
Can you see our victories?
Over our youth and insecurities
If I turn around will you be dancing?
In your own world to your own beat
I place my hands around your hips
And on your neck I place a kiss
I see you can you see me
If I turn around will you be dancing..?
I see you can you see me
If I turn around will you be dancing..?
