My days go on as normal, no traffic stops for me.
When the sun morns through my curtain, its the only light I see.
Though light might shine in visual, black and white is all I feel.
The clock stopped when you forgot, how long it takes to heal.
My wounds feel unprotected.
Yet no body seems to realise.
The smile I paint upon my face
Is a camouflage disguise.
I told you how I am feeling,
You looked at me with sorrow.
You took a second to show your pity,
Then planned your day tomorrow.
Do you even really listen?
When I tell you I am weak,
When I tell you I haven’t eaten,
that I can hardly speak.
Do you really pay attention?
As I tell you I don't sleep.
That I am not okay, can’t face today,
That all I do is weep.
I don’t think you really care.
About my life and what's in me.
You just humour my emotions,
To put your guilt at ease.
Because if you really listened,
You would hear my silent cries.
You’d notice the smile upon my face,
Is built on lonely lies.
You would hear the pain in my breath,
You’d know my eyes were swollen.
And you’d realise that I feel this way, because,
My happiness was stolen.

E-Poems,
Detox and purge the poison that has you captive! Once you’re freed, happiness will fill the void!
