I wish you were with me

siranswerer

I wish you were with me,
So I could share the stories and news of the day,
I wish you could see,
Without you, the sky is always gray,
I wish you were with me,
Instead of so far away.

"When are you collecting your stuff?"
Fuck, that cuts,
Deep beyond the articulation of words.
I said, "I never actually wanted this",
And all you could reply,
"Neither did I, but here we are".

Normally, I would howl in pain,
At the thought of being without you,
But you've made it so easy,
For me,
To forget you.

I am thankful for this poem. Hurt anger and pain are tools of the healing. On the way up!
