Weight Of The Last Day

dnellis369

The ever lasting feeling
Like as a kid
Thinking you'll live forever
That you have everything

The days past by
Growing getting older
Its seems like a dream
You step out wondering curious

But it never last
The weight on your chest
Your shoulders head legs
Feel like nothing

This weight you are feeling
Is it reality or fantasy
Struggling with the thought
Deciphering will it be my last

Its the beginning
Creeping in its way down
Holding you back
Speaking in one ear

It's with me every step of the way
Trying to stand but I listen
Wanting to jump but my feet stay
Trying to know will I be lighter

Will I one day take flight
Or stay in my own limbo
The weight of my last day
Its curious to the thought

Will I betray it or will I stay with it
Like a chain to a ball
The weight is on everyone
We all have our ball to carry

Either to find something
Break it or carry it
More or less
We walk with it

Every step getting stronger
Maybe weaker
Let it stall you
Let it break you
Or by chance will you break it
