Monster are In Your Head, Not Under Your Bed.

RavenWolfbane24601

Monsters are in your head, not under your bed

They lurk in your soul, not under a wooden frame

You can hear their whispers in your head

Their words don’t come floating up from under you calling your name

They are inside you

Hungrily waiting for you to come to their side

Others cannot hear their words, because they are only for you

They’ve made you cry, and they have made you lie

You are their puppet made of flesh

They drag you here and there

You feel like you’re gasping for breath

As you rip out your hair

“The world would be better without you”

“Who would love you?”

They say all of these things and more

And yet, Somewhere deep inside your core

You know that they don’t have total control anymore

Monsters are in your head, not under your bed

So dear, dry your eyes and be in good cheer

For you can banish those monsters that reside in your head

And let yourself be  happy for the rest of your long years
