Friends Are Special
With friends I like to fish
As if we are family
And the times give us bliss
And we’re thankful for the peace
Our kids are good friends too
And go to the same fine schools
Where our cheerleader daughters cheer
At football games quite cool
And when there is time apart
We call to keep in touch
Knowing vacations are hard
When on the move so much
We have cookouts together
And the outings are exciting
With hamburgers and hot dogs better
On Saturdays inviting
And as the best of friends
We attend the same little church
And we give our thanks then
And celebrate God’s rebirth
