5/9/18 1:29AM
mildewed rains tingle like chimes
in the skid mark i used to educate myself
stacks of cards, all turned
against me and i saw ancient specters
hell on amps and chimes in my ears again
do you, ever dream of
candycoated
RAIN
drops
smoke then sweat, sauna then misery,
slough sober kindness
i met a pizza chef named james
he’d lived in california
and now he lives in rochester
he seemed alright
if a little frightened
to be accosted so warmly
it’s a sore sight
to see fat napoleon
sneaking into your instagram
my waterloo is not
speaking too deeply
when it rains so shallow
putter patter split splat
then wait an eternity
and start again
water is cheaper than air
magical feel/good miracle product
spoken for my true followers
just drink water or beers
you’ll find lost springs stoking
in places without fires
or nigh a coal to warm
this place pulls words and grey matter with it from me
like splinters with an awfully dull
knife,
and raining froth
solidifying my jaws
