Ignus fatuus

Narcisa

I made my first appearance in your dreams

Or was that just a line?

I honestly forgot until you appeared in mine.

I remember I looked into your eyes. It all started at Rockledge High

You weren’t lost nor broken, Just a child often misguided or misspoken

I saw you, did you see me?

I know you saw me. I know I intrigued you.

You still try to see me and it doesn’t go unnoticed

You’re probably the only one that has ever seen me and you don’t even know it

I first appeared in your dreams, now years later you appear in mine

Before I woke I lost concept of time

It’s 2019 you’re chasing your dreams and I’m letting mine walk by

A woman now I never looked back, and neither did you

I must say I have a confession, suddenly I’ve made this my obsession

Not you, not you and I as one

But maybe what would have happened in the long run?

It doesn’t last long, and I don’t over stress it

I simply wake, up readjust myself to the concept of time, open my eyes and see what is mine.

The reality is I am content and so are you

There is no way I would ask for a redo.

Sweet dreams.
