I Still Remember

daydreaming

It seems so long ago
Yet I can still remember
How the things you said
Would always make me smile...

And though I try hard to forget
I’m condemned to remember
How the things I said
Would sometimes make you cry...

I won't shy away from living
In the end, we are all forgiven
Not a word was ever spoken
My eyes are now wide open...

I feel the wind softly blow
While the stars shine up above
Let the sun light up the sky
'til it's time for me to go...

Let me feel a river flow
As the waves just come and go
Let the birds fly really high
While the fish swim down below.

For as long as I can breathe
And my heart still beats
And I still hear the echo
Of your voice speaking to me
I will find a way to show
What the world needs to know
That no matter what, I hope
You are still in love with me.
