All The Love He Kept.

kevin browne

When you look up into the sky, and
everything seems to steep to climb,
and the moments you gave away for
all the selfless people who ask why.

Changeability tortures you most, and
the darkness lightens to see a ghost,
but, in times of trouble and you need
a friend to teach you how not to boast.

Feelings of contempt pursue you, and
though there's nothing left for you to do,
and even if those moments came home
you'll find yourself thinking it's not true.

With planets up then time is to kill, but
now is seemingly perfect and tranquil
in finding some connection that's really
developing into something you can feel.

Fleeting chances turn danger now, and
you'll sit to wonder where, why and how,
but up comes the calling card for a show
for one last love song then it's time to go

History in the making of another hour, and
in serenity of every chocolate, every flower
there the landscapes grew up into adulthood
feeling cared for, loved and to regain power.

A tricky situation has now gone away, but
strange of you to embarrass time that way
because of everything that's taking place
your heart was looking for a place to stay.

And the moment comes to lift the sky, but
some petty stupid turns up something high
is down again just to fluster and play around
on the wings you have, so go learn how to fly.

Now the tide is widening in your smile, and
with devotions of yours was a million miles
to walk again alongside the greatest of all
the tribulations you posted, sent and filed.

Now as the man on the Moon slept and
with the way how much he never wept
there in your heart for his shine has gone
but deep inside himself is all the love he kept.

No one can do it like you my friend, it was like I was on waves of emotions as I read your words comes to a blissful ending.

    Amazing!

How much more praise left for you is there? Well considering you're quite a brilliantly prolific writer which leaves me to think your work, also has vibes all the way through. I will check out to see if I can find that poem you mentioned.

Re-evaluation of where one fits into the scheme of things when, ageing, we find ourselves still motivated to romance though wisdom haunts our movements.

Its all there in your mosaic, written to encourage a readers mind to dance in a picturescape of a lifes experience and longing.

Well said, dusk arising and thank you for a superb comment.

    • Fay Slimm.

Such an absorbing and wonderfully expressed write - - such a moving finalé too - thank you Kevin for this admirable posting on how love could be preserved.

Thank you, Fay and I guess the preservation of love can be misled and misunderstood falling down on your broken heart yet again. I appreciate your insight into this piece...
