She's Someone Else

dnellis369

I'm still lost to that day
I didn't know what to say
Was it your eyes or your smile
I walked away but would walk a mile

Just to ask if you were single
I didn't expect to mingle
I really wanted something
I felt like I had nothing

Till I met you at the beginning
You really wanted to talk
And listen for hours
What happened to all that

Now I feel like she's someone else
A soulless being that has no connection
You said I was everything
You said you do anything

You said you'll always be there
To listen to all my thoughts
But who are you now
You've lost your self

Was it really all a lie
You've called me controlling
When you said you'll do anything I say
How two sided is that

To hide things from me
I really thought I met my dream girl
You upset the balance
Now we have to pay the price

  • Comment from author about the poem: 11th it dealt with a change in a relationship which started out what i wanted when we first met but I'm to blame too and it all fell apart which we paid the price for something we thought we wanted.
