Chutes and Ladders

Chutes and Ladders

As I look back on my first 40 years, I have come to the conclusion that I have been playing my life like a game of chess. Treating the people in my life like opponents, and trying to take them out of the game with the fewest moves. Using family and friends like pawns, sacrificing them for the quick win. Now at 40 my victories have cost me more then my defeats. So I am looking to my next 40 years and I want to play a new game. A game like life itself, where each day is like a spin of the spinner. Some days you are moving up the ladder and some days you are sliding down a chute. I am not going play this game to win but to play to have fun. So when it’s time for me to take my last spin I will take it like a winner.
