Footsteps

Smoky Eyes

FootstepsrnrnI watched as you walked away!rnWith tears streaming from my eyesrnMy heart filled with sorrow! rnI heard the echoes of your foot steps!rnrnWith my head bent low, I tried to dried the tears from my eyes, but they unleashed like strands of silver pearls, spilling from the sky, as I remembered our time together!rnrnForever, we promised to be togetherrnJust us two, day in and day out!rnWe did everything together, laughing, talking and making fun with each other!rnrnWe promised we will be together for ever or until our dying day!rnWe talked about being each others lover, but we failed to be each others friend!rnrnWe laughed, we criedrnAnd we failed to see we were both hurting insidernWe were from two different time and placernWhere our memories held onto to us, of anger and hate!rnrnWe had to let go of each other, to make ourselves whole againrnOur love was for another time and placernAnd even though it hurt us so, staying together would have bring us greater sorrowrnAs both of us harbor the memories of a broken heart, where there was no love for tomorrow!rnrn😝😘😘😝😘😝😘.
