My Dear Son

My Dear Son

I am a Christian man and father

With a son very dear to me

And he is bright and growing taller

And no prouder could I be

I help him when I can

Though I myself am poor

But I lend a helping hand

With whatever I can afford

I wish that I could see him daily

And be there by his side

To help him though I’m crazy

With the challenges in his life

I pray that he doesn’t fret

About any minor thing

And that when he's upset

His finds love and comforting

He is still very young

With many lessons to learn

But his journey has begun

And the Holy Spirit he discerns

He couldn't want better, w c! Psalm 128 says about 'happy families' too!

        Our religions may differ
But we sing from the same page
My friend you are a legend
With the words and love gave

As I read and felt my own
        Knowing I am not alone
When we reap what we have sown
Each fathers love is a home

Thanks, Dan. Love can make us sing. Song can express our joy.
