Just Another Day (Without You)

daydreaming

I made it home from work
So glad to have survived
It was one of those days
It’s time to rest, unwind.

I hate my empty bed
I’m laying on broken glass
I wish that I could feel
Your body next to mine.

I see two lovers walk
Along the moonlit path
I close my window shut
Reminds me of you and I.

I force my eyes to see
The signs you left behind
No matter what I read
I still don't understand.

I then remember how
You tried to make me smile
Perhaps you're here with me
There's just no need to cry.

I know you always tried
To do what's best for me
You'll always be the one
Who made my life complete.
