“Time and Space”: A Sequence of Tanka Poems

The Swarthy Bard

Time and space, matter,
energy, gravity, light:—
the laws of physics,
both known and unknown, and we're
the Children of the Big Bang.

Into the night sky
I gaze, awed by time and space
and the wide expanse
of the Milky Way, a dot
among endless galaxies.

Through this soup and stew
of time and space, dark matter,
and dark energy
they spin and swirl and collide,
filling this grand universe!

Our own Milky Way
formed from this vast time and space
and sprouted our Earth—
this blue orb (circling the Sun),
the cradle of all known life.

Time and space, matter,
energy, gravity, light:—
the laws of physics,
both known and unknown, and we're
the Children of this Cosmos.

THANKS *SB* ~ For FIVE perfect TANKAS on Cosmology. Tankas give 10 extra syllables which is appropriate to the SUBJECT.

    1. YES ~ We are all *Children of the Big Bang* ~ But still subject to *The Laws of Physics !*
    2. The Milky Way has thousands of SUNS ~ but there is only ONE Solar System !
    3. YES indeed ~ WE do live in a very Dynamic Universe !
    4. Planet Earth ~ is (probably) the only inhabited Planet in the Milky Way
    5. YES indeed we are *Children of the Comos* However if by Global Warming ~ Deforestation ~ Plastic Pollution of the Hydrsosphere ~ Increasing Technology & Urbanisation we render OUR PLANET UNINHABITABLE ~ Thats the END ~ There is nowhere else to BOLDLY GO !

Thanks for sharing & caring !

    Blessings & Peace & Joy
    Yours ANGELA & BRIAN 🧡🧡
