Your Unread Lies.

kevin browne

Leave alone your unread lies
Within your crazy glazed eyes.
Before I could take a chance
Took a turn for a new romance.

Sunday roast and a pint or two
With bottles of wine just for you.
But, it comes with a Whisky rest
Sick and sad it's close to death.

Funny games, aeroplane wings
Wedding bells chimes the rings.
Looking left, looking right at me
Tell me if I'm down on one knee?

Take a break, get it off my chest
Return the vows it's for the best.
Shout the rich, but it's for the poor
Open minds open up magic doors.

Shoulder underneath a loving girl
For there she dances with a twirl.
Blankety Blank, she's won a game
But, it's not for fortune or for fame.

Just once or twice give love a go
To show the world how you grow.
Tight dress on, men wearing suits
Off to Singapore with all the loot.

Off goes intelligence to join a high tide
With all the things our love must hide.
Let go with the flow by enchanted city
With all the love we let go got so witty.

And, in return to please, I say thank you
For dreams in which we've lived through
And, in remembering all the things I'd do
in remembering what you did for me too

Love doesnt last. Partnerships can but often dont.
Sounds like someone pinched your wealth (or part of it) and buggered off to live the high life.
Did i get anywhere near ?
