- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in metre: Verses 6.5.6.6. (or 11.12.); and Chorus 7.5.7.5. (or 12.12.). A bit more modern hymn, though tricky with the metres. A 'vial' seems to be a small container or a bowl. A 'viol' seems to be a type of violin. I mean the former here, though harps and violins could both be played!
