Walking With Verse (+3)

Kurt Philip Behm

With each step that I take,

  words jostle and form

Inside me they cluster,

  deep down where it’s warm

At nighttime they visit,

  in moments of peace

Defining my feelings

  —extending my reach

(Villanova Pennsylvania: January, 2019)

Desire

Passion builds a home

 —that talent only visits

(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2014)

As The World Turns

When the world turns on a whisper
—why do we insist on shouting

(Villanova Pennsylvania: June, 2014)

Locked In Kayenta

Where are you headed...
the waitress asked me at breakfast

Where have you been to...
I responded in kind

Never down to the Canyon,
though I’ve always meant to go there

I’m headed to the Canyon
—now go quit your job

(Villanova Pennsylvania: March, 2015)

    Kurt,

    • “Walking With Verse”
    Filled with great images!
    I especially liked...

    ‘Deep down where it’s warm’...

I envision this as a wonderful nook for those formed words to cluster!

    • “Locked In Kayenta”

    Quit my job?!

    Absolutely...

    Will not keep MOTHER waiting...

    I shall not disappoint her!

    She’s an irresistible beauty...

    ...a beauty to be revered!

Can I get another cup of coffee before we leave?

    🙂

      Most certainly...
      my dear journeyer!☕️
