College Grads

College Grads

There was a celebration today

With much pomp and circumstance

With young people making the grade

And wanting to sing and dance

All were excited to wear their robes

With a cap perched on their heads

And they smiled and slowly strolled

To their diplomas there ahead

Parents with cameras got a bit closer

To get a photo or two

Of their child now grown older

With his college days now through

And finally their names were called

To walk across the stage

With each one getting his applause

On his special day

And when the regal day was done

It was official that they were grads

With their lives just begun

At good jobs like mom and dad

I love this, as someone who's 16 and going into their senior year next year, this brings me alive with excitement

I'm happy for you, clair jane. College can be a wonderful experience. It changed me in many ways. I hope you enjoy it the same as I.
