Six Days

SheWasTheSun

Six days have passed

Since I heard your voice last

And I can't quite decide

If it's still memorized

Six days have passed

Since I touched touched you last

I tried touching someone else

And it felt like hell

Six days have passed

Though the memories last

I wonder how long

Until you're really gone

Six days have passed

I think this one will last

We've parted many times before

I'm not sure it's safe to mourn

Six days have passed

And I still want you back

Six days seem to last

A lifetime in fact

This bit is lovely and heart-breaking:

    I wonder how long
    Until you're really gone

Thank you! I was in very freshly heartbroken state when writing this. Thanks for reminding me of this poem and how much I've healed in the last year!
