If It's Not Now.

kevin browne

If it's not now, not even to sleep
Can it be love, love is for keeps
Waking hours, in all for its glory
Dreaming of a life that tells a story.

Of Alice from now, then let us begin
Poetry in motion, write from within
Mystic memories, mystical magic
When love murders after it's tragic

Windmills in Amsterdam, crazy to dizzy
Flairs of the moment, flairs to get busy
In Paris, Id likes to say 'Merci beaucoup.'
For things, the things that you do.

It's good to see, to see if you cant
To let it all out, to have a good rant
Thoughts old of past, not too far away
Kiss the Moon's face, it's for its birthday

Sleeping in bed and dead when awake
There from in here, in here on a stake
Cut from the ocean, cut right to the bone
Now it's stranded, to be stranded alone

Trust in the desert, trust no one to see
Trust in the Sunset, believe it's a belief
Light up a love affair, try not for a reply
Wonders of the Universe, let out a sigh

Fairground attractions, don't be so sick
Tie up the knots and don't run so quick
Angels of mercy with the Devils inside
Bring back the people, bring back pride

An old Granddad of 80, an old man he is
To read a story of love, love about bliss
Teaching the heartbeat to hold its breath
Falling in love, but don't it get in a mess.

Flowers for you, a flower broken in two
Taste exquisite flavours, a taste for you
And, the rain rains through a bright light
Under the covers when it's a good night

A fine write Kev. Pity it started me off singing (oh no! lol). 'Oooohhh, it's now or never....!'

    Hello Kevin,

What an awesome poem. That was beautiful! If we don't have Love we have nothing.

    Keep writing
