11:11

sillygirl

It’s 11:11, and I can’t sleep

The whir of the fan, and the softness of my pillow should be able to lull me,

But the monsters under my bed, and the monsters above it,

Stop me from drifting off into a peaceful dream,

Where anything is possible, and my wildest fantasies can come to life.

A place where I’m not invisible,

Where someone can recognize me as the person I am.

A place where I’m able to turn back time,

And change the past, making it what I want it to be.

A place I can teleport,

So I could leave this place, and all my fears, far behind.

But the hand on the clock just moved,

And it is now 11:12,

Which means that my wishes didn’t come true,

And the monsters still surround me.
