I watch her in awe everyday of my life
When I was a child I always asked for her hand in marriage
It was a time way before I had the ability to understand societal rules
It was way before I had a care in the world
All I knew was that I was her golden girl
You see, it was never a type of love that was full of lies, I always felt safe with just one look into her eyes
Years pass by and as I grow, she expanded my world little by little
Even though her life is full of pain she sets her mind on what’s left to gain
It hurts to watch her hurt, but it feels better to watch her overcome.
She may be a warrior but she finds her peace with Mother Earth
She is a love that is pure an true
She is all I need in order to make it through
It was a pleasure to grow in your womb
