Rise Up

CindyB

Breathless and frantic,
Our laughter fills the tower -
Darkly passionate.
And out of my passion
There comes a vision I cannot deny.
Common things infused
With uncommon soul;
Consciousness flees my spirit.
Believe as powerfully in beauty
As you do in death -
Know its nature and its name.
Embraced by the silky night,
All senses abandoned -
Precious and unquenchable fire.
Set the candle high behind me -
The horsemen commence at one
To ride off.
Be beautiful, be wise.
Rise up, Lazarus!
