You don't love me
you love the idea of me
the me that was strong
but not too strong to overwhelm you
the me that had opinions
but they weren't your problem
so you just laughed them off
And I warned you
not to love me
not to fall for me
you wouldn't like what you found out
instead you insisted
and persisted
and now we're here
you've figured out
that you don't love me
