The country lane was long
The path it took me there
Long and winding I ambled
The smell of summer air

The fields of golden barley
The hedges stout and firm
The birds that sang around me
The sky so full of charm

She stood there before me
She took my breath away
I gazed upon her beauty
It Shone like the break of day

Oh to be with her at last
Reunited with warm embrace
Never to be apart again
Now joined our lives we face
