Dear Children.

kevin browne

Oh, dear children's heart in need
We'll help out and learn to feed
As Sunrise reveals another light
As angels sing sweet goodnight.

Tears sting with fears of tasting life
Suffering against the loss of a wife
Where food is rare and without us
To hold a hand and in guided trust

Build shacks with trees upon a leaf
Crying over fears and look for relief
Heartbeats fade into another realm
Silenced by drought, we need rain.

Tents and rainbows blow in hot sand
Across deserts and again, hold a hand
Rivers dried up flourishing in nature
In times of storms, to make it better.

Blood is spilt across the road to hell
The path breaths air, all are not well
From around the world, it's taking time
You dig your grave, and I'll dig mine.

Millions starving for someone to eat
The reality of what, it's time to feast
Upon a child's lap, a puppy sleeps
Playing together, that's theirs to keep.

Wasted away like to skin and bone
Children cry for fear of being alone
Bullets miss, bullets hit whoever's' best
Pray for bread, pray for whatever next.

Oh, dear children now growing up
Oh, dear children, it's all too much
Left all alone a whimper cries out
One-year-old crying a mothers doubt.

I pity the poor children too... there is so much pain and suffering around the globe... and always innocent children get caught up in the wars and hatred that are the product of adult greed and prejudice ...... I reckon you have said it all here and said it well.. Neville

It totally needs to stop in its tracks and let the world recuperate in order for us and the generations to come learn how we should at least be able to feed each and every other person on this planet. Especially our young ones.

something needs to change for sure....

      • dusk arising

shall we know peace when she comes
        this stranger to our land
will she lay to rest the lost who loved
        denied by murdering hands
        father the orphaned child
        and soothe its ravaged loss
        heal the wounds
which seep the pus of vengence
        plant seeds of forgiveness
        rebuild a faith in trust
        feed the hungry mouths
        and restore dignity

        for tomorrows child is watching

          That's just brilliant. Thank you.
