Despite the Cost

poetboy123

What is the force behind a dying warrior's final blow?

The cause of the defiance shining proudly in their eyes?

The courage leading them to rise against every foe?

The rage rippling through their battle cries?

What is the wind dragging a ragged runner forward?

The strength maintaining that struggling, clenched fist?

The inciter of the aching lungs and pumping blood that can't be heard?

The determination of burning legs tearing through the mist?

What is the will fueling the chained liberators?

The soul striving to secure freedom for the lost?

The passion threatening to sear the fabricators?

The hope leading them to rise against every foe, maintaining that struggling, clenched fist, despite the cost?

That cost is worth paying every time, to achieve what some say could never happen in our time!

    Another thank you my friend

Thank you Dan! Time isn't a restriction, it's a tool that must be used.
