Cold Oak

CindyB

Midnight snaps shut,
Dangerous red.
And out of the darkness
Comes a bold rider - vigilant.
I remember you.
Here in the quiet night,
Your wild, wild eyes.
Quick and desperate visions
Disappearing like the
Forgotten dead,
Death reduced to
The ordinary.
We are bound.
By the blood of us
And the sweat of us,
We are bound.
Oh come away, come away -
I remember you.
Midnight snaps shut,
Dangerous red.
