I Tried To Think.

kevin browne

I tried to think
Tried to think what I'd done
They wanted to kill me
But, it was nothing I did wrong
I tried her out
Tried to think if I'd met her before
She wanted to kiss me
And we ended kissing on the floor
Don't even blink
Don't even blink unless you need to
My eyes are open
For the love and the guilt from you
She was broken
With a smile on her back, she fainted
Had beads of love
On the canvas that she never painted
Think I told you
I told you what's been going on at home
She lost our baby
And she told me when my face turned to stone
I know she loves me
But, the strain of a heart that's never loved
Almost killed her
And the thought of losing her was too much
Any influence on me
Where my name was taken by any neon lights
I know it broke me
But, it made me stronger when I could say alright
And now that
Now that things have changed to untouchable
And now that
Were together, our love has made us invincible.
Could it be rain
Or maybe its pain
Don't take a blame
On love is the same.

a tragic tale told poetically but with a more uplifting and positive outcome.... this has the ring of autobiographical self disclosure to it my friend..... I may be wrong, but respect, regardless............... Neville
