Blessings in Disguise

Nafis Light

Once you fall into demise,
You may not realize that it's a Blessing in Disguise.

To someone, blessing might be only money
but to others...it's a different type of honey.

The chance to experience something wonderful;
Be it tasty food, or being able to experience something and say "This is so cool!"

At times, the blessings that we wanted are given
but we couldn't tell...because we might only see what is broken.

It is there, surely...as blessing could be anything
because being able to still be alive...isn't that something?

  • Comment from author about the poem: I initially planned to post something else today, but something happened earlier. Things did not go well for someone in more than one area of her life. She couldn't see the positive things that were around her...only the negative, that was to the point of believing that her blessings were taken away. That somehow gave birth to this poem.
