When My Life Begins

SerenWise

Life just seems to pass me by...

No sound is heard,

But for the music

Lilting in my head,

And the chorus song

Of morning birds.

            ~

I do not know what else to try...

When time is short

But love is fast,

Wrapping around me

Like your loving arms,

My beloved consort.

             ~

And our stolen courage amplifies...

When from a world away

You're suddenly here,

All my doubts

Are cast asunder,

And you are here to stay.

              ~

I really like how you structured this, and you are great at selecting the most enjoyable words to paint inside the mind vividly.
