Dreamer

John Lee

Dreamer

The sound of that time clock

rings in his head

As his squinched tired eyes

stare off to a land unseen

His mind wanders as if

Can't bear the sight of yesterday

and dreads tomorrow

Eager for change, but to what?

Perhaps the unseen, or the untouched

So he dreams...
