To sleep

the_bleak_visionary

All the daily clutter was still floating in my head
I thought it best if I just went to bed
In the process of trying to sleep
I couldn't help but weep
The comfort of my nightly repose
Was a reminder of what your embrace so lovingly bestowed
I know I can't have that peace ever again
Will you wish me tranquility before you say amen
In my dreams I'll send positive thoughts to you
I'll wish you nothing but the best of luck too
In my sleep I'll let go of the previous day
When I awake I'll allow the new morning to lead me away.

Very well done, visionary! Congrats on your first poem on MPS! And may I say, Welcome! This poem is very relatable, I think. Again, great job!
