Fraught like borders
Between here and where we want to go
Between here and where we’ve been
A looking glass sheen
And angles drawing out and bending
For a different perspective
I like Brie now
And I’m skinny now
I’m dying to be who I am
My past is tattooed on me
By my bracelets
And in my eyes you’ll see it all
Where I’m going, where I’ve been
To grow up and stay young
Darker skin, lighter hair
Sun-soaked to keep it with me
Learning to lean
We’ll keep leaning, keep learning
I want to show you my free spirit
And sitting here chatting again
I think I’m falling in love
