OUT

Thomas J. Dooley

So many times, I've had my doubts

Knowing what life was all about

The changes that I have gone through

The lonely crying, the unseen tears

All ways feeling down, while no one was around

How do I get out?

And change my life around

I want more

Then what I can afford

They're my goals

How do I get out?

And find what I'm about

What does it matter if I scream and shout

Why do I try to get everyone's attention?

When I don't even have my own

That is why I'm alone

How do I get out?

To turn my heart inside out

So I can see what I'm about

And find my way out

  • dusk arising

Get away from the surroundings and people who hold you back and find your freedom elsewhere where people will accept what you are.... you are you and you have as much right to be here as the stars and the trees..... cliche from a piece entitled 'desiderata' by max ehrmann ... worth a read.
