Slipping Away

Living Dead Girl

I can feel the time slipping away

I can see the sky turning grey

with a blink of an eye

the time will come to say good-bye

to the you I once knew

it's so fast

how the right here, right now

turns to the past

and it happens so obscure

you do not have the time to learn

the reasons why

but I can feel the time slipping away

I see the sky turning grey

with a blink of an eye

the time will be here

and I

hope as the days roll by

we remain kindred and connected

as you journey on

you must always know

that the right here, right now

was the best lifetime of my soul

I've often said to myself "Right here right now is the center of time and space, center of the universe." Not to be egotistical, but to remind me to live each moment. To remember each with all its glory even as it moves away from the center... you've said it in your own way, more eloquently than I.
