City of lights

Cinderella_Pixie

In the city of lights the one that never sleeps

One would assume to never feel lonely

However many people you pass

On however many streets

Nobody sees you

The defeat in your eyes

The slouch in your walk

They bump into you never flinching

The road calls you home

Mountains beckoning you to come

The road is winding and long

Yet you trek on

Go to the city that never sleeps

You will see a million of me

People broke and lost

We are the ones with broken dreams
