Fools Mate

Jabberwocky

Will he then marry some tomorrow

Make you his bane and source of sorrow

Fight to see the whole thing through

Encumbered with the likes of you

I would not wish it on a man

Yet on a boy the likes of him

Who loves but can not understand

The mockery in your vain whim

Does he know true the men you knew

And think he over steps their mark

He does not know you marked anew

Before he lept out in the dark.

Boys delude with false esteem

The measure of your spun love dream

Where men might pause and ponder right

And see right through your lying shite.
